Government of Gujarat has taken a unique initiative in form of "181 — Abhyarn" 24 X 7 Toll free Women Helpline for all women citizen of Gujarat. Which will be in synchronization and ccomplementary system with existing "1091 — Gujarat Police Helpline" and other women orientated services.

Abhayam Vans

  • To provide 24X7 free counseling, guidance and information through centralized response center.
  • To rescue in emergent situations like domestic or any type of violence to shift women to safe places
  • Response to 100% calls through technology integration.

    Counseling, guidance and information through centralized response center.

    • Services to Women will be provided through:
      • Rescue in domestic or any type of violence to shift women to safe places
      • Important information will be provided like local government services, women police stations, and free legal services, counseling center, NGOs and rescue officer,
      • If any women will feel threatened or facing any violence she will be transferred to the nearest safe place for which she can call any time

One city mobile app

City mobile application platform development is planned under the Nirbhaya-Safe city initiative to support the Citizens (Adult and Senior) of Ahmedabad city. Citizens can apply/avail the different services related to the city police and ask for help/assistant from the city police.

City mobile Application will have specific features for Senior citizen like Periodic Feedback Check, Unique QR code generation for every house, Mapping with a police representative, doctors on call and medicines on call, etc. Specific feature for females like access to SHE team members request for counselling, secure transmission of evidences (images, videos, audio) to assigned she team, self-help training videos, share the vehicle details and get tracked separately through QR code scan while traveling in the Auto, taxi, immediate incident reporting for eve-teasing, chain snatching, inappropriate behavior, sexual harassment or rape, etc.

Also, all the citizen can avail the police specific services through this city application platform.

QR Code in Public Transport

A unique QR code sticker will be issued to each Auto Rickshaw/Taxi. QR code will be displayed visibly on 3 different positions, i.e. outside and inside the vehicle. Any passenger either before getting into the vehicle or after can scan the QR code using his/her smartphone through a City application and will get the details of Auto Rikshaw/Taxi as well as driver like i.e. Registration number of the vehicle, owners name and address, drivers’ detail with photograph, criminal antecedents of the driver etc. Also, passengers can share his/her live locations while in transit with their family member/friend through the track me module of the city application platform.
